George D Lordos, Sr, became a property developer in Famagusta in the early 1940’s when trading became difficult due to WW2. It was an almost accidental decision but it came to symbolize the family’s activities more than any of its other many other businesses.
Lordos Properties, together with its subsidiaries and associated companies is one of the offsprings of this first start. Our Honorary Chairman, who was originally educated as an Architect, was the primary lever of expansion of George D. Lordos & Sons Ltd into property development, construction, hotels and manufacturing in Famagusta until 1974 when the city was captured in the wake of Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus - and, shamefully, still remains captive and deserted.
Today Lordos Properties is a prime developer in Cyprus specializing in High-Quality Properties in all districts of the island.
